It’s time for me to be honest.

Well, time for me to explain something!

Well, all this time, ADZ is a one-woman release group! Yeah, i know i should have said this earlier, but i was really shy to admit it. But since that i admit it i kinda feel better now. Suddenly my conscious said: “yo, tell the truth already”  Well, i now am! But i’m pretty sure you already know that i’m a one-woman release group since i always talk about only myself.

  1. One’s nickname and the way to address oneself and so on – are personal things. When calling oneself a subber, the only thing that is worth apologizing is a poor quality of one’s subtitles.

I’m glad you were able to overcome your shyness. It is really good for you as a person. What about you as a subber… you know better, whether you should be ashamed or not.

  2. There is nothing wrong with being a solo subber. In fact, I think It’s admirable to have that kind of dedication. However, as a fansubber with several years of experience, I want to give you a piece of well-meant advice: think abourt getting yourself a helper or two. There is no need for fancy stuff like karaoke or motion-tracked typesetting. You should aim for a reduction of grammatical and translation errors, though. From my own experience I know people are prone to overlook their own mistakes, which is why a second or third person can be a great help. It doesn’t matter if they don’t have any fansubbing experience or knowledge of the Japanese language, they’d just have to tell you “look, there is a capitalization error”, “there is a missing line” or “this sentence doesn’t make any sense that way”. This improves the quality of ones subs drastically. I don’t mean to offend you or belittle your effort, but I spent more time editing your Shingeki Chuugakkou subs (grammer, timing, typesetting/styling, translation) than watching the episode.

tl;dr Consider getting yourself one or two helpers. You quality will profit from them and leechers are grateful for well-done subs. So am I, by the way 😉
